Approximately 24,000 sq m of land/buildings with planning permission (10,000 sq m urban, the remainder rural) in Paderne, Albufeira, just 12 km (or 18 minutes by car) from the beach. This plot of land has planning permission for the construction of around 1,600 sq m of housing units. The plot includes an approximately 5,000 sq m lake, a ruined building and an old 2,500 sq m factory complex (a former ceramics factory) with 5,000 sq m of construction area (council documents confirm the complex dates from before 1951). With a new project, there is a viable possibility of construction up to a maximum of 5,000 sq m, which can be used for industry, services, hotels, rural tourism or housing units. According to the existing planning permission, the 1,600 sq m is broken down thus: 10 suites, lounges, dining rooms, kitchen, cinema, gym, massage room, games room, multi-use room, indoor swimming pool, indoor hot tub, barbecue, landscaped upper terraces, utility room, storage and technical areas.
